Perched directly on the ocean’s edge, the Rama Ocean View offers breathtaking views of the sea and a deep tranquility—creating the perfect sanctuary for reflection, rest, and inner renewal.

Tirta Gangga is the perfect place to begin 2022, as you immerse yourself in its clear waters and renew your body and soul. The water flows from an underground spring beneath a giant Banyan Tree and is considered holy. The Balinese use the water for temple ceremonies. The centerpiece of the palace is an eleven-tiered fountain, and many beautiful carvings and statues adorn the gardens, as well as a stone labyrinth to walk over. Day 5- 16th  of January 2027

After our morning yoga and spiritual practice, we will check out of our hotel and visit Goa Lawah Temple, also known as the Bat Cave Temple—one of Bali’s six holiest temples (Sad Kahyangan). Built into the mouth of a bat-filled cave, this unique temple has been a site of worship since around 1,000 A.D.

According to Balinese legend, the thousands of bats that reside within the cave provide sustenance for the mythical serpent Naga Basuki, a guardian of balance and protector of the island. The temple holds deep spiritual significance and is an essential site for purification and offerings.

At the heart of the Goa Lawah Temple, the inner main sanctum is marked by three towering meru shrines, with one dedicated to Shiva, the transformative force of destruction and renewal. Nestled into the cliffside cave are smaller shrines, surrounded by the quiet presence of thousands of nectar bats, whose constant motion symbolizes life, death, and rebirth in Balinese cosmology.

The temple’s entrance is framed by classic candi bentar split gates, signifying the passage from the outer world into sacred space. Nearby, a bale pavilion shrine stands proudly, adorned with intricate carvings of the Naga Basuki—a primordial dragon believed to uphold cosmic balance and protection. This mythic creature, flanking the shrine’s steps, embodies the tension and harmony between chaos and order, destruction and preservation.

The architecture and mythology woven into Goa Lawah make it not only a place of prayer but a living embodiment of Balinese spiritual philosophy—where gods, animals, nature, and humans coexist in a sacred web of life.

We will return to the hotel for an afternoon of leisure, spa treatments, and enjoying the Buddha Garden or pool.

We will then journey to the Tabanan region, located in the verdant heart of Bali. This part of the island is known for its expansive rice fields, traditional villages, and a slower, more sacred pace of life.

Our destination is the Umasari Rice Terrace Villa, a hidden gem tucked amid endless green terraces and swaying coconut palms. As you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by the soft rustle of the wind through the paddies and the gentle rhythms of nature—a perfect backdrop for reflection and renewal.

At Umasari, you’ll be immersed in a haven of tranquility, where elegance and nature are woven together in harmony. The villas offer a blend of comfort, simplicity, and authenticity, providing space to slow down and deeply connect with the land.

Here, you will experience genuine Balinese hospitality and personalized service, reflecting the warm, gracious spirit that defines the island’s rich cultural heritage.
