South Africa

On this “trip of a lifetime” visit S Africa and explore Capetown with our guide Shamiel. Travel to Cape Point, the very tip of southwest Africa, and visit a penguin colony on the way back. Ascend Table Mountain in a cable car and experience incredible vistas of Capetown and the Cape. Enjoy the opportunity to visit the world-famous Kirstebach Botanical Gardens take a pilgrimage to Robben Island and see the jail cell of Nelson Mandela.
Then fly to Kruger National Park and stay at Ngala game reserve for four days of exceptional game viewing, an unsurpassed wildlife experience.


 In Bali prayer is a way of life! I lived in Bali for 10 years and have been leading tours for 40 years to Bali. The island has changed a lot since the 1980s and we would love to help advise you and guide you so you can experience the real Bali.


The Kingdom of Bhutan, nestled between Tibet and India, is located in the majestic Himalayas. Our friend Tshering Jamtsho is the best guide in Bhutan. He will guide you through the streets of Thimpu, the ancient Punakha Dzong, and the hike to the “ Tigers Nest” monastery on the edge of a precipice above the Paro Valley. “For those fortunate enough to visit describe Bhutan as a deeply spiritual and mystical experience.

Costa Rica

“Pura Vida” Costa Rica’s national slogan translates simply to “Pure Life”. With 5% of the world’s biodiversity, pure life is a quintessential description of the Costa Rican experience. Our friend Johnny Calderon is a great naturalist to guide you.


When we went our tour company was founded by Amed Fayed: The New York Times called him “The busiest guide specializing in the metaphysical field.” This was an awe-inspiring journey! We took a Nile River Cruise to see sacred temples. Explore the Valley of the Kings and the city of Luxor and finally enter the Great Pyramid with private time in the king’s chamber.


Dot and I have been to Paris many times and can help guide you through the ins and outs of the city and recommend our favorite hotels and sites. We also have traveled with Janet Pullen and tours to Toulouse and southwest France to experience the mystical Cathar country, following in the footsteps of Mary Magdalene.


I have lived in Hawaii and visited often with Dot. We led a tour in 2022 to Kauai exploring the Garden Isle and in January 2023 we lived in Maui for 6 weeks in Lahina just before the fire. This is a great website for info on Hawaii, especially if you haven’t been.

With our guide Lucca travel back to the Renaissance period during a half-day walking tour exploring the renowned Tuscan city of Florence. Then the next day discover a pair of medieval Tuscan hill towns Siena and San Gimignano. On this journey, you’ll spend your time in the historic Perugia, still partially enclosed by Etruscan fortified walls built over two millennia ago. You can visit the town of Assisi and then venture to Lucca, one of the loveliest cities in Tuscany with a special flair due to its authenticity and rich heritage.


In Japan you can explore the bustling city of Tokyo In Tokyo. Our favorite sites include a visit to the Zojoji Temple, an impressive temple complex housing the tombs of six Tokugawa shoguns. Its main gate, Sangedatsumon, stands out as an imposing representation of traditional Buddhist architecture. Explore Menji Jingu one of Japan’s most famous and important Shinto shrines.  A visit to Meiji Jingu Shrine allows you to immerse in a peaceful forest atmosphere in the middle of Tokyo. Visit the Imperial Palace Okyo Imperial Palace is the residence of Tokyo’s Imperial Family—and its grounds hold a storied history that extends back centuries. Take a bullet train to Kyoto, famous for its temples and Geisha at the Gion. Take a day trip to the ancient capital of Nara and soak in the hot springs in Kurama. If you want to explore visit Mount Koya and stay in a Buddhist inn.


We have visited Mexico many times and led tours to the Yucatan Peninsula which is the homeland of the Mayans. We visited famous archaeological sites walked the long sandy beaches of Tulum and snorkeled off the Island of Isla Mujeres. We also love the town of Los de Marcos, just north of Puerta Villarta. It’s a small traditional village with a great beach and a tranquil atmosphere.

New Zealand

I lived in New Zealand for 6 months and know the country well. I have surfed off the Mahia peninsula and explored Auckland with its great harbor and Maori tradition. I love the hot springs of Rotorua and the beautiful southern Alps town of Queenstown. Of course, the highlight is cruising overnight on Milford Sound. Be sure to contact me if you are going there or wish to take a group.


Explore the ancient city of Cusco with our friend and excellent guide Aracelli. This picturesque city is surrounded by RED Rock Monoliths named Bell Rock, Cathedral Rock, and Thunder Mountain. Sedona has some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. We have let retreats there and can offer suggestions for your visit to this beautiful place

Thailand and Cambodia

On this journey to southeast Asia you can combine these two countries. Visit the fascinating ruins of Angkor Wat before heading to Thailand, where my brother lives and have visited and I have led many tours. Bangkok is full of surprises with hidden alleyways, elegant Palaces, and exotic temples. Take a Klong (river) tour on the Cao Praya River before flying to Chaing Mai. There you will have the opportunity to visit an elephant rescue camp and wonder at the Dou Su Thep, one of Thailand’s holiest temples. You could take a Thai cooking class or visit a hill tribe village in the areas around Chaing Mai. If it’s beaches you like you can fly to Koh Samui or Koh Lanta for days of rest and recuperation after busy days in Thailand.
